Sikh Community Center Washington DC

Mona Sehgal, of Bethesda MD, was recognized with a Community Service award by her employee, the U.S. Government Accountability Office.

The award is in recognition of 8 years of volunteering with Asha for Education (Washington DC Chapter) to improve access and quality of education for underprivileged children in India. 

In addition to volunteering for project selection and monitoring, Mona has trained and run 5 marathons to raise funds for educational projects.
